, 1/320 f/5.0, ISO 1600, tripod. Specie: Tetrao urogallus

already very good to see him, I was able to photograph this year after 7 years of research and I know how hard (and how much sleep) is behind shots like that. Very nice also the environment

This was your comment on my photo of the grouse ...
Finally I see yours! Moolto very beautiful! Were you able to resume it in a masterly manner!
Labors rewarded in the best way!
Of course the arena at 2100 m is a bit 'unusual and ... difficult to achieve:-D!
Congratulations, photographing THE KING is not a walk in the woods ...

How not to compliment you ... I know the subject and the difficulty of photographing in Italy and especially in areas where the density is not high ... scorazzo always in the mountains and I understand that a shot like that pays off more than a little ... complimentissimi for everything from capture to the perseverance and last but not least the great picture quality.

Thank you so much to everyone for the passage ;-)

Many have asked me how I managed to take this picture, I report here what I wrote in the description of the photo, to avoid misunderstandings and to make sure that anyone who has never experimented with some subjects (and there is nothing wrong with that) may do so without causing any damage. Some things are better not improvise

The photo was taken from the shed placed days before in which I joined in the early hours of the night, in total silence, and I came out of the shed more than an hour after having seen / heard the cock for the last time, when I was already sure I do not I disturbed neither he nor any hens present in arena where I could not realize. These specific rules (which I consider basic for the majority of subjects) because G. Cedrone & esevere; particularly sensitive to even the slightest disturbance; scare in the crucial days for the coupling can nullify the play for an entire year. We try not to do more damage the hunters who often criticize
