Zoom sul Monviso al tramonto scattata al Passo del "Pertus" (Costa Valle Imagna) 04 Febbraio 2023 Il passo del Pertus Il passo del Pertus è un valico prealpino a circa 1193 metri sul livello del mare. Il Pertus mette in comunicazione la Valle Imagna, in provincia di Bergamo, con la Valle San Martino, divisa tra Bergamo e Lecco. Le due valli comunicano con un piccolo ponticello collocato dagli Alpini. Il suo nome deriva dalla parola bergamasca “Pertüs”, che ha radici analoghe alla parola italiana “pertugio”. Il significato del nome si riferisce a un passaggio stretto. Storicamente, il passo aveva una funzione locale, quella di mettere in comunicazione le due valli, che appartenevano entrambe ai territori della Serenissima Repubblica di Venezia. Inoltre, il passo del Pertus è anche conosciuto come Passo degli Spagnoli. Questo perché, nel 1528, le truppe ispaniche transitarono per il passo per andare a liberare Lecco dall'assedio delle truppe nemiche, le milizie milanesi.
