Mi chiamo Wyclife, sono nato e cresciuto nello slum di Kibera, Nairobi. Ero solo con le mie sorelle quella sera quando, il giorno del mio secondo compleanno, la casa è andata a fuoco. Mentre le mie sorelle scappavano disperatamente cercando di salvarsi, io sono rimasto da solo sul letto di una casa in fiamme. Quando sono arrivati i soccorsi, avevo già ustioni di 3° e 4° grado sul 70% del mio corpo. Tuttavia, la fortuna è stata dalla mia parte. Sono stato portato d'urgenza in ospedale, dove ho curato le mie ustioni per un anno e mezzo. Anche se ho dovuto tornare più volte per diversi interventi chirurgici al corpo e operazioni, grazie a Dio ora mi considero completamente guarito.
