Dear Sergio I prefer to operate without filter, perhaps lowering the Iso and lengthening the exposure, using tripod or other.
Anyway I like your shooting so.
Good evening

Dear Renatoxr thank you, first of all for the answer to my question
In addition to confirming my choice, I seem to understand that you also do not look for very long exposure times.
A silk effect that therefore maintains the shapes of the flow of water and its chiaroscuro without making it a biamcastra nebula strip
Thanks
Greetings
Sergio

Dear Sergio, I confirm this goal of photographic realization, I try to make the flow of water less artificial, leaving only a slight sense of movement of the overall realization, as if to return to a less "modern" photography, at least in this case.
Greetings

Masterfully made image, wise use of the filter to lengthen the time and create the veil of water.
The environment is really suggestive and you have immortalized it to the fullest.
HELLO, Gastone. ;-)

Fascinating image embellished by the caption, always exhaustive and engaging. I tried to imagine what you write, that is, the same photographed in a season richer in water. The colors of the vegetation normally submerged from green to yellow would be lost, which makes photography more alive and warm.
Congratulations, a nice shot.

Thank you Gastone
Thank you very much for your analysis to this image. Glad you liked it and I am pleased with your opinion on the use of the ND filter.
Greetings and have a good weekend

Thanks Cage.
You imagined correctly. I saw on WEB similar photos, with more water and there were not those greens and yellows that I found.
While drought is not a good thing, photographically it has given me more colors.
Now, however, discovered the place, I want to return in season richer in water. The scenery is very impressive. As well as I promised myself to return to the Alcantara gorges that I have not visited for a long time
Thank you very much for your nice comment and for the compliments
Greetings and good weekend

The shortage of water has given color to a glimpse already pleasant in itself. Lava rocks with shapes full of charm. A place that tastes of wild.
I appreciate the time used that still allows you to appreciate the textures of the water by not making it look like a sheet lowered on the river bed.
Always full of interest the presentation.
A warm greeting

Very good Sergio
I visited twice the Alcantara Gorges in 1977 and 2006 (falling into a pond I destroyed photos wetting the compact car)
Good weekend

Thanks Giacomo
I was very pleased with your comment, I'm happy for your appreciation to snap and caption. I am also pleased that you have shared the choice of shutter speed: such as to maintain the textures of the water. The shot taken with the ND1000 filter gave, instead, an image just as you have effectively described "as a sheet lowered on the river bed". I like this definition, it absolutely reflects the impression that is captured
Thank you very much for your passage
A warm greeting and good weekend

Thank you dear Elio
I am sorry to have renewed the pain for the loss of the compact, drowned in the waters of the Alcantara.
I have also been to the Gorges, several times: 40 minutes by road, approximately, from home. But in times gone by. I would like to go back there calmly, but this season there is too much crowd.
I will wait for a moment of low tourist season, even if the water will be colder.
Thank you very much for your passage on this shot
Greetings and have a good weekend
Sergio
