Il territorio della Gower AONB si estende dal superbo scenario calcareo carbonifero della costa meridionale fino a Worms Head e Oxwich Bay alle saline e ai sistemi di dune del nord. Nell'entroterra, le caratteristiche più importanti sono le grandi aree comuni, dominate da creste di brughiera di arenaria tra cui l'impennata di Cefn Bryn.
