The still image (the photo) has paused the flight of the seagull and the motion of the water ...
Everything is suspended waiting for the "Play" ...
A Bergamian story.
My compliments dear Andrea.
An affectionate greeting Danilo

In fact, I thought of the poetics of a film director developing this shot and this reading is added in the block notes; if I can develop this work in the future I will take it into account.
Thanks Danilo, your intervention is precious!

I really like this shot! In all honesty I would not have even noticed the format if I had not put it in evidence, in the sense that I do not need to follow the formats, but try to make the best photo with the most suitable, even if it is not one of the standard ones. A photographer whom I greatly esteem during his workshop said "do not be afraid to cut" ... and I sincerely believe he is right. If to improve the yield of a shot I have to cut in an unclassified format .... why not? In any case, the 16: 9 for this frame is perfect and I like to go crazy the human figure perfectly placed in my opinion ;-)
Best wishes
Romina

Thanks Romina for the double promotion!
On cutting I can agree with what you say and, in part, they told me in previous comments: cutting or cutting should not be a taboo. What I mean is to look at and see the scene already in that relationship and compose it accordingly in the viewfinder. Here is my exercise that I proposed again not to miss a possible vision at the time of shooting. In post the exercise is "easier" because more reasoned or less instinctive here.
I say and study this, because in a series of shots that make up a hypothetical story I really like the fact that all the images have the same aspect ratio, I find that this trick makes better perceive the "vision" of the author.

I did not understand what I meant during shooting! Of course, everything is easier in post!
I absolutely agree with you regarding the consistency of the appearance of the images in a project because it certainly makes even better the idea of ??a project thought upstream, as well as the vision of the author.
So good exercise and good weekend ;-)
