''Un'unica foto''. Questa era la mia intenzione, da quando mi venne l'idea di andare alle cascate della grotta di San Nicola. Purtroppo non posso fare il fotografo a tempo pieno, mi piacerebbe. L' università toglie la gran parte del tempo vitale, quindi decisi che appena avessi trovato un po' di tempo sarei andato a scattare ''Un'unica foto''. Finalmente quel giorno arrivò. Presi il mio zaino fotografico e dentro c'era tutto quello che poteva servirmi, filtri, obiettivi, corpo macchina e il cavalletto. Ringraziando il signore con me non c'era solo lo zaino fotografico ma anche le persone che credono in me e che amano ciò che faccio e che ripongo nelle loro mani una parte della mia vita. Il momento arrivò. Ma mi accorsi che lì intorno era pieno di gente e con questo pensiero mi venne la paura che quel ''Un'unica foto'' non poteva essere scattata. Riuscì a trovare uno scorcio, posizionai il cavalletto, misi il filtro e impostai i parametri nel corpo macchina grazie anche alle persone che erano lì con me in quel momento, che mi passavano come assistenti l'attrezzatura necessaria. Ma in quel momento mi resi conto che la miglior attrezzatura che puoi portarti è la passione. Una foto qualunque essa sia non è solo un immagine. Racconta una storia, racconta un momento, racconta ciò che siamo e con chi siamo e ciò che ci passa per la testa in quel momento. Questo è il motivo per cui mi sono innamorato di quest'arte. Questa non è solo la mia foto, ma anche la foto delle persone che erano li con me ad aiutarmi e che mi supportano sempre nelle mie ambizioni. ©Francesco Ilardi

Update: After more than two years returning to the place I was sorry to notice how much had changed. The waterfall is still there, but the pond has become much smaller and the whole surrounding environment almost destroyed. Most likely all this happened through the overflow of the river due to the latest storms that occurred here in Sicily, in which unfortunately people also died.
