I made the picture from the 37th floor of the building in the region by taking advantage of a day of opening to the public, unfortunately there was a bit 'of smog that has limited the visibility of the lights in the distance, but I was lucky because there was a sunset really great.
In highlight the sky was amazing but I had decided to go (there was to do the tail) around the blue hour in order to have the city lights on and I was fine because the sky was still a bit 'colorful .
The only problem are the reflections of the interior lights on the large window, there is only a point from which you can minimize them but even there some reflection always comes nell'inquadrature, the ideal would be to have two friends who raise a black cloth behind the photographer, but it has to be really big ;-)
There are big problems in the photograph freehand because you can place the lens on the glass in order to have a solid support, with a stabilized lens like the 16-35 you can bring home good shots even at 1/2 second exposure obviously raising a bit 'the iso.

Ho fatto la foto dal 37° piano del palazzo della regione approfittando di una giornata di apertura al pubblico, purtroppo c'era un po' di smog che ha limitato la visibilità delle luci in lontananza ma sono stato fortunato perchè c'è stato un tramonto davvero grandioso.
Nel momento clou il cielo era strepitoso ma io avevo deciso di salire (c'era da fare la coda) attorno l'ora blu in modo da avere le luci della città accese e mi è andata bene perchè il cielo era ancora un po' colorato.
L'unico problema sono i riflessi delle luci interne sulla grande vetrata, c'è solo un punto dal quale si riesce a ridurli al minimo ma anche lì qualche riflesso entra sempre nell'inquadratura, l'ideale sarebbe avere due amici che alzano un telo nero dietro al fotografo, ma deve essere davvero grande 
Non ci sono grossi problemi nel fotografare a mano libera perchè si può appoggiare la lente sulla vetrata in modo da avere un appoggio solido, con una lente stabilizzata come il 16-35 si possono portare a casa buoni scatti anche a 1/2 secondo di esposizione, ovviamente alzando un po' gli iso.
