NO CROP. Dall'ultimo viaggio GrandiViaggiFotografici in India. Una delle emozioni, fotograficamente parlando, più grandi di sempre. Stavamo fotografando una civetta a pochi metri da noi quando sentiamo un richiamo di un Sambar. Il nostro driver nemmeno ha bisogno di un cenno. Mette in moto in meno di un secondo e ci lanciamo in direzione lago. Fatti pochi metri vediamo il più maestoso dei felini indiani che a grandi falcate rincorre, in acqua, una femmina di sambar. Saranno distanti un centinaio di metri da noi che però percorrono in pochissimi secondi. Seguiamo la scena mentre ci avviciniamo a tutta velocità al lago, per avere una visuale buona per scattare. La tigre ha recuperato terreno ed è ormai a poche falcate dalla preda. La nostra guida prega perché la caccia vada a buon fine. Siamo ancora in moto e non è possibile scattare con la strada così sterrata. Ci godiamo la scena. Con un balzo incredibile, questa femmina di tigre salta sopra il cervo e lo abbatte. Adesso siamo pronti anche noi con le macchine fotografiche. Esce piano piano dall'acqua e si fa largo tra decine e decine di rami che non rendono semplice scattare una foto pulita. Ma il momento è fantastico e tra centinaia di click, cambi macchine, extender, obiettivi, la tigre fa il suo percorso per portare la preda ai suoi 3 cuccioli. Passa a meno di 15 metri da noi fermandosi di tanto in tanto per riprendere fiato. Cacciare è stata dura, portare la preda fuori dall'acqua e alberi abbattuti, ancor di più. Piano piano si allontana, dandoci le spalle. Lascerà la carcassa ai cuccioli che prima di cominciare a mangiare, ci giocano un pò. Basta una notte, e all'indomani mattina del cervo non è rimasto più niente. Ma mamma tigre deve continuare a cacciare. Sono 4 le bocche da sfamare....
