con Sigma 2x TC-2001, 1/500 f/5.6, ISO 1600, hand held. Boquete, Panama. Specie: Pharomachrus mocinno

We only had a chance to see 2 Resplendent Quetzals both within 10 meters of each other as it was early in the season. Difficult conditions as we had to walk into the jungle which makes a lot of noise and shoot almost vertically 30 meters from the subject. Lots of trees/branches/leaves but luckily got a half decent angle to take this shot. Still heavily cropped. I believe this is an immature male as from memory and talking to our quide he did not have the long tail feathers the mature male Quetzals are famous for. Image cropped.
