Orcombe Point, Exmouth, Devon, yesterday, the most westerly extremity (and oldest) part of the 153km long Jurassic Coast on the south coast of England. This is what you undertake a 6 hour round train journey/s for, plus walking a further 10km to find. Highly corrected fisheye image, to make it look more 'normal'. This 'indentation' (with rainwater in it) was only a few cm from the lens. Well worth the effort, in my view, am really pleased with the final result. |

Lovely image, Tim, with its beautiful, rich, earthy colours! You made a great choice of shooting position and then processing the image. What a great place to visit and photograph! |

Ann, indeed, so glad I made the effort, finally. I had mild impressions that Exmouth was just a sleepy, slightly quaint seaside resort (which the actual town IS) but walk a few miles and its wild Jurassic coast really open up the photo opportunities. I also lugged the 150-500mm Sigma and monopod as you can zoom in on patches of light on places like Dawlish along the opposite coast and all the lovely sailing craft forming patterns in the Exe Estuary. So I am SO tired today! And it was building up with people by lunchtime, so was glad I made it before the peak holiday season. |

That sounds exhausting, Tim! I'm always amazed at the variety of rock formations etc to be found along the Jurassic coast! So much to discover (and photograph!) |

Lucky you! Dullish and coolish here today. No photography (but enough taken on other days to easily compensate) |
