I add a few lines to explain the shot because I was asked by people in MP +.
This is one of those classic situations where to recreate what was the reality of the scene must act in postproduction. The subject is clearly against the light, and we all know the limits of dynamic range of our beloved cameras :-)

Aggiungo due righe per spiegare lo scatto visto che mi è stato chiesto da + persone in MP.
Questa è una di quelle classiche situazioni dove per ricreare quella che era la realtà della scena bisogna intervenire in postproduzione. Il soggetto è chiaramente in controluce, e tutti conosciamo i limiti di gamma dinamica delle nostre amate macchine fotografiche :-)
Ho esposto sul cielo per non bruciare le alte luci, avendo quindi come risultato il monaco fortemente sotto esposto, in silhouette. Poi LR e mamma SONY (la mia Nikon ha sensore Sony) hanno fatto il resto: in post non è stato troppo complicato recuperare il dettaglio sul monaco.
Si potrebbe ora discutere all'infinito, se sia giusto o meno agire in post produzione per andare a modificare a volte in maniera anche pesante il nostro file digitale. E' però indiscutibile che le macchine fotografiche hanno dei limiti, e a volte (e sottolineo a volte), la post produzione può aiutare a ricreare la scena così come si presentava ai nostri occhi, stravolgendo quello che era il RAW iniziale. Voi cosa ne pensate?

ammiro e adoro i tuoi lavori e a volte il fine giustifica i mezzi (mi riferisco alla spiegazione tecnica che hai dato di questa foto) pero c'e' da dire che tu hai, secondo me, una piccola allergia nei confronti del flash)))) Altrimenti con un copettino di flash avresti comunque potuto ottenere la scena che i tuoi occhi vedevano al momento dello scatto.
La mia non e' ASSOLUTAMENTE un critica ne' nei tuoi confronti ne' nei confronti dei tuoi lavori, anzi sai che adoro le tue foto!
Ti invito a diventare amico del flash perche puo diventare un fido amico/alleato in situazioni limite.
