Of this gallery is the photo that I like most: the beautiful girl; pleasant, from the point of view of color, the combination of red lips with the mantle in the head and the contrast of the blue background '; two large eyes moist and magnetic reflect where the photographer along with one, maybe two people; the look is enigmatic style Gioconda and watching carefully (being careful not to remain hypnotized) the girl sometimes seems that smile while others seem sad / resigned.
A rare portrait to view and review, congratulations,

Hello Henry, and thanks so much for signing dwelt on this picture and especially for having judged so positively.
I'm glad you enjoyed it, in particular, look at this picture, and I would like to take advantage of this very welcome your comments to clarify some aspects of the way I consider photography.
For myself, I find that the development of a picture is equally important for the final result, since the time of shooting himself. So I'm not at all opposed to the use processing - indeed I think that knowing how to draw a picture should now be part of the body of knowledge of each photographer - but I personally think that a processing is much more effective and less than perfect result invasive or forced.
In this photo, especially, I resorted to drawing focus and capture the attenzione observer on the intense gaze of this girl, and judging by the comments received, your last, I would say that my goal has been successfully achieved.
Are contrary to overuse the development, or rather, I am opposed to its use too invasive or otherwise so heavy as to make the photo objectively unnatural (as I saw instead make some photos recently published).
I thought it useful to clarify this because I want to be absolutely clear to those who observe and judge my photos, like you Enrico in this case, what are my ideas about photography and what my approach in creating an image.

Again, thank you very much for your appreciation, and a friendly greeting.

I came to your galleries reading a comment by Charles Cozzutti intrigued by the fact that you called the best portrait painter who knows. I must say that the estimate in response Carlo once again not betrayed me. He's right, the eyes of your protagonists all have a story to tell and that, to me, is the essence of a portrait.
CONGRATULATIONS

WYD Hello, I am sincerely flattered by this review.
I'm very glad you came up to me following the comments of Charles. But Charles is a great friend and binds us in high esteem, and that is why it is always extremely generous in his comments to my photos. What is certain, however, as you'll know if you know him, is that he is one of the few true artists of photography on this site.
That said, however, makes me a great pleasure to read that comment on my photos is extremely positive, and this I am sincerely grateful.

A cordial greeting to you, and thanks again.

Hello Sergio, I love to see pictures, especially the Sun, often prepare trips according to the images that I see and that I take.
I thank you for the friendship granted, I'm sorry not to be a good photographer, I find it best to use a trowel and a chain saw in the work I do in the fields and in the woods. Maybe shooting without thinking too much on the quality, but it remains difficult at my age get into certain mechanisms, so that on Juza I feel a fish out of water, I still like to share your photos the same. Many mine are over twenty years old and are not up to improve them, they scan them for good. A friendly greeting
Roberto

Dear Roberto, and you think just knowing how to use a trowel and chainsaw and be able to work in the woods wow! ?! You have no idea how much would like to have your skills, and above all be able to work outdoors:-)

I, like you, have a so-called amateur, ie one who really like to see photos and who occasionally ventured even to shooting some, with more or less good. But when I say "more or less" mean good in my opinion, or rather on the basis of what I look for in a photo, it's mine or others. And what I look for is an emotion, that "something" that strikes me at first glance and that captures not only the eye but also the heart and mind. And that "something" does not depend almost never the technique but rather on what - and how - the photographer captures the essence of the subject.
Sure, itabsolutely true that with digital - and therefore with the ability to easily process an image? it is easier to identify and better treat some aspects of a photo or a subject after the shooting, but this indisputable advantage (which are not always used with taste or measure) is however not so important or essential.
So, Roberto, continues to take photographs if this will let you express your need to communicate, and continues to publish them if that satisfies your desire to share emotions, without worrying too much about the opinions of others, but first of all trying to satisfy yourself , your sensitivity and your personal taste.

You say you are not a good photographer .. but who is a good photographer? Hard to find a good answer to this question. For meconcerns, I believe that a good definition of this has given the Irving Penn with this sentence:
"a good photographer is a person who communicates a fact, touches the heart, makes the viewer a different person"
.
Here, I believe that communicating something touching also the heart of the observer is really the essence of not only photography, but of any other arts.

A friendly greeting, Roberto, and even a big thank you for your open appreciation for my photos. I am truly honored.
