Per quanto mi riguarda, trovo che l'elaborazione di una foto sia altrettanto importante, ai fini del risultato finale, quanto il momento dello scatto stesso. Quindi non sono affatto contrario all'uso dell'elaborazione - anzi ritengo che saper elaborare una foto debba ormai far parte del bagaglio di conoscenze di ogni fotografo - ma personalmente ritengo che una elaborazione sia tanto più efficace e perfetta quanto meno risulti invasiva o forzata.
In questa foto, in particolare, ho fatto ricorso all'elaborazione per focalizzare e catturare l'attenzione dell'osservatore sullo sguardo intensissimo di questa ragazza, ed a giudicare dai commenti ricevuti, ultimo il tuo, direi che il mio obiettivo è stato raggiunto con successo.
Sono invece contrario ad un uso eccessivo dell'elaborazione, o meglio: sono contrario ad un suo uso troppo invasivo o comunque tanto pesante da rendere la foto obiettivamente innaturale (come ho visto invece fare in alcune foto recentemente pubblicate).
Ho ritenuto utile precisare questo perché voglio sia assolutamente chiaro a coloro i quali osservano e giudicano le mie foto, come te Enrico in questo caso, quali siano le mie idee circa la fotografia e quale sia il mio modo di procedere nel creare un'immagine.

Anche io, come te, sono un cosiddetto fotoamatore, ossia uno a cui piace moltissimo vedere foto e che ogni tanto si cimenta anche a scattarne alcune, con risultati più o meno buoni. Ma quando dico "più o meno" buoni intendo a mio giudizio, o meglio sulla base di quello che io cerco in una foto, che sia mia o di altri. E quello che cerco è un'emozione, quel "qualche cosa" che mi colpisce al primo sguardo e che cattura non solo l'occhio ma anche il cuore e la mente. E questo "quid" non dipende quasi mai dalla tecnica ma piuttosto da cosa - e da come - il fotografo riesce a cogliere l'essenza del soggetto ripreso.
Certo, è assolutamente vero che con il digitale - e quindi con la possibilità di elaborare facilmente un'immagine ? risulta più facile evidenziare e meglio curare alcuni aspetti di una foto o di un soggetto successivamente alla ripresa, ma questo indiscutibile vantaggio (che comunque non sempre viene usato con gusto o misura) non è comunque così importante od essenziale.
