 Fireflies...

Fireflies sent on August 07, 2012 (12:06) by Dexter. 125 comments, 7201 views.

Nikon D7000, Nikon AF-S DX 18-105mm f/3.5-5.6 G ED VR, 20 sec f/8.0, ISO 3200, tripod.

Lagheè, Ricky and Ildiora with the passage :-)

" so you have joined the click of the background and the other shots with fireflies right? "
right, at the top you can see for example those two "plumes" that go up here those are fireflies individual who left the path intermittently during the 20 seconds of exposure :-) of course for those in the foreground is the itself, some moved more other less, those at the top, however, clearly distinguishes the very precise trajectory!

" and how did you remove the background with night shots with the fireflies? "
um ... just for this processing is "long and stormy" as I wrote in the caption:-D photos with the Fireflies (very dark exceptct that the bright spots), I made a selection "summary" with the magic wand with bright yellow and tolerance about 30 ... and then I finished selecting for firefly firefly, one by one. some assuredly me are "lost its way"!

@ Ildiora: the idea was precisely that, for years now, and I admire it. finally with the camera at least I was able to catch them :-)

Noooo ... that hard work .... could use a simple method of simple fusion.
Overlap the two shots and funds lighten method and the game is over.
So you take the brightest pixels of both shots.

Beautiful!
I confess that the idea came to me (in my part at the beginning of summer, the raw material is not missing) ... but I was not able to make a shot like that.
Now that you have revealed the backstage try again with more enthusiasm.

Thank you and congratulations
