I also find it excellent ... The complexity in making and developing these pictures is very high, so you have all my respect!

Very unique and impressive. Thanks for the information supplied, which I find very interesting because they are poorly informed about this kind of photography is fascinating though :) and I'd like to better understand the technique.

Hello Nadir, are interested in using CCD sensors in the field astrografico, knowing their affection for noise due to the lower temperature, the advantage of the absence of the Bayer filter, etc. ...
I wondered, however, if the "poor" resolution does not obstruct a bit 'these benefits.
As a result you would get using a CCD instead of a recent Nikon D800 (which judging by the test file returns very clean) or better with a cmos sensor photosite even bigger?
In short, I wanted to hear some of your consideration in this regard.
Thank you!

Thanks for the ride Wolf3d ;-)
In reality it is a false problem, because today eistono CCD large physical
which allow to frame fields much larger than that possessed I.
A clarification, however, the resolution was far from poor, because the size
pixel was one of the smallest existing then, and allowed high-resolution photos
with focal around the meter, was a small field of view.
The D800E seems a good camera for the photo astronomy, the advantage over
to a CCD that is not specific for astrophotography, then you can also use for
another, but in any case the advantage of CCD, despite the greater difficulty operating, remains
indeniable.
However, there are color CCD that, compared with a quality of the results a little worse,
reduce the complexity of the shoot.
