I added a new photo to the portfolio : "Mountains and Clouds". I toke that photo in my recent trip to Alpe Devero, Italy; I'm going to publish soon many other photos.

I updated the article "History of Digital SLRs" - year 2005 with the new Olympus E-500 and I updatetd the prices, according to B&H. Other than that, I corrected some imprecisions in the specification list.

Olympus has announced today the new Olympus EVOLT E-500, a 4/3 DSLR with an 8 megapixels sensor. The camera is the lightest (435g) SLR now available, and it is one of the cheapest : 900$ with 14-45mm and 40-150mm.

Olympus has announced three new consumer lenses : the Zuiko 35mm Macro, the Zuiko 17.5-45mm, and the 18-180mm.

Other than that, Olympus announced the pricing of the 35-100 f2.0 ($2,500) and 70-250 f2.8 ($ 6,000 - a very exaggerate price in my opinion!).

Few days ago Hasselblad has announced four new products: the medium format digital backs Ixpress CF and Ixpress CFH, the camera body H2 and the fully digital H2D. I have attended to the (Italian) press conference and I have had the possibility to try the camera and to take some sample images.

I added many new photos into the galleries : the landscapes of Alpe Devero and Binntal, the Combi-Lanza Hut, the villages of Heiligkreuz, Binn and others.

Sony has announced today the Sony Cyber-shot DSC-R1, a 10 megapixels camera with a fixed 14-71mm lens (24-120mm equivalent). The great surprise of this camera is that it has an APC-C sized CMOS sensor...in other words, its sensor has the same size of the sensor used in digital SLRs!
The camera has electronic viewfinder and live video preview in its large LCD screen. The price will be near $ 1,000.

It is 6:25 a.m. when I toke the Cisalpine train that will bring me from Milan to Domodossola. I arrive at Domodossola at 8:10 a.m. and one hour later I toke the bus to Baceno; finally, another bus bring me to Devero, a small village surrounded by the Alps...
