Juza Nature Photography Forum

The forum is a place where beginners, amateurs and professionals can show their photos, discuss and learn. Please read this page to understand how the forum works! To join the forum, you just have to click on "Register" - it takes a couple of minutes!

The JuzaForum is devoted to nature photography. The forum is divided into two large areas: four image critique sections and four discussion sections.

Landscapes, Birds and Wildlife, Macro & Flora, Photo Of The Week are the four image critique sections. In these sections, you can post your photos to receive comments and suggestions. Every topic in these section must begin with a photo. In the image critique section, you can post 1 photo every 24 hours per section.

The Landscapes section is about nature landscapes; they may include man-made elements only when these elements are not the main subject of the photo.

The Birds and Wildlife section is about bird, mammals, fishes, amphibians and reptiles. The animals can be photographed both in nature or in captivity; domestic animals (dog and cats) instead are not included between the subject of the forum.

The Macro & Flora section is about flowers, insect, and other macro subjects, as far as they are related to nature (no objects and still life).

The Photo Of The Week has been created to showcase the awesome work posted here on JuzaForum, and to highlight some truly interesting images. Every week, I move the best photo of every section into this special gallery. Other than that, every year I select the very best 9 photos of the year - click here to see the Photo of the year winners!

The purpose of the forum is to discuss and to learn: don't hesitate to ask suggestion and to comment the photos. Be always respectful of the other poster's opinions, and keep a friendly tone. The best way to receive a lot of comments to your photos is to comment the photos of other members: you don't need to be an expert, everyone can post his comments!

Lenses, Cameras-Accessories-Photoshop-Technique and composition, Photo Essays, Open Talk are the forum discussion sections. In these section, you can discuss about technique, composition, equipment and other topics. The discussions may include some photos or illustrations as example for the discussion, but if you want to receive comments about a specific image, post it into an image critique section, not into a discussion section.

The section Lenses is for discussion about lenses: wide-angles, tele, macro, zooms, teleconverters, etc. You can ask questions about a lens that you are considering, you can post your review or test of a lens, and you can discuss about other topics related to lenses.

The section Cameras, Accessories and Photoshop; Technique and composition is for discussions about cameras, flashes, tripods, other accessories, post-processing, technique and composition. Do not post questions about lenses in this section (the lenses have their own section!).

In the section Photo Essays I publish short articles that describes the equipment and the techniques that I used to take some of my best photos. Feel free to post comments and questions!

In the section Open Talk you can discuss about every topic that is not related to photography. As always, all discussion must be friendly and polite!

Main guidelines

It is essential to the friendly and polite. Remember that this forum has members from all around the world, with different traditions and cultures: in your messages, try to be clear and to avoid expressions that may result offensive to someone.

The language of the forum is exclusively English. English is one of the most widespread languages of the world, and it is the only language that can be understood by all members: please avoid writing words in any other language. You are allowed to use other languages only in your username and in your signature.

If your English is not that great, don't worry! :-) The majority of members are not native English speakers (for example I am Italian), so it is understandable that your English is not perfect...it is not a problem!

Now you know how the forum works and the main rules, and you can participate actively!
